How to import Japanese Vehicles in Tanzania:

1. Is there any kind of inspection that I need?
All vehicles must undergo roadworthiness’ inspection before shipping. A certificate to that effect must be issued. In case of Japan, Japan Automobile Appraisal Institute (JAAI) does this. For our valued customers’ convenience Car Junction provides this service before we ship the vehicle for our Tanzanian customers.
2. Is there any kind of year restriction on the vehicle I wish to purchase?
You can import vehicle up to 10 years old. Nonetheless, vehicles older than 10 years can also be imported with a penalty of just 20%.
3. What kind of local taxes do I need to pay?
